Production Vehicle Evaluation

ZalaZONE test track, in cooperation with the AVL Hungary, is ready to provide Production Vehicle Evaluation (PVE) and Release Testing packages for its customers.

This testing includes verification of OBD system performance according to the monitoring requirements on development and production vehicles, DTC testing with healing, checking Scantool information, and evaluation of various fault cycling scenarios based on the OBD documentation provided by the customer.

Release Testing is also available as a package to ensure compliance of control unit behavior with regulatory requirements, such as fault memory, IUMPR, coordinated code clearing, and ECU identification data behavior.

For these tasks, AVL offers solutions to develop break-out boxes based on the wiring diagram provided by the customer. Software and hardware support for the measurements is also provided, including ETAS hardware and INCA connection for pre-PVE, and a generic scan tool for official PVE.

For the testing itself, a broad range of electrical, HW and SW-based manipulation devices are available. The team is also familiar with the use of communication manipulation devices on all types of CAN networks along with the appropriate software tools (e.g., Vector tools, CANoe, etc.).

The testing team has 5+ years of experience on testing for OEMs and has completed testing a wide range of OBD-relevant powertrain and driving assistance control units of conventional, mild, full-hybrid and pure electrical vehicles according to US, EU and CHN regulations.
